Position Overview:
The Preschool Receptionist is the first point of contact for families and visitors, playing a key role in creating a welcoming, friendly, and happy environment. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the center by assisting staff and management with administrative duties, ensuring smooth communication between all parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Management:
- Greet and welcome families, children, and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls/messages to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage check-in/out procedures for children and maintain accurate attendance records.
- Handle and process admissions paperwork and maintain organized files for each child.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist the management team and staff with organizing events.
- Manage office supplies and ensure inventory is maintained and stocked.
- Process incoming deliveries and distribute as necessary.
- Assist with the preparation of communication materials, such as newsletters or parent notices.
- General Office Duties:
- Maintain a clean and orderly reception area.
- Ensure compliance with center policies and safety regulations.
- Assist in the coordination of daily operations, including monitoring of schedules, staff support, and ensuring smooth transitions throughout the day.
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in administration or early childhood education preferred).
- Previous experience in an office or reception role, preferably in a childcare or preschool setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Friendly, patient, and approachable demeanor.
Monday to Friday - 8am-5pm
