Position Overview:


The Preschool Receptionist is the first point of contact for families and visitors, playing a key role in creating a welcoming, friendly, and happy environment. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the center by assisting staff and management with administrative duties, ensuring smooth communication between all parties.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Front Desk Management:
    • Greet and welcome families, children, and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
    • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls/messages to the appropriate personnel.
    • Manage check-in/out procedures for children and maintain accurate attendance records.
    • Handle and process admissions paperwork and maintain organized files for each child.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist the management team and staff with organizing events.
    • Manage office supplies and ensure inventory is maintained and stocked.
    • Process incoming deliveries and distribute as necessary.
    • Assist with the preparation of communication materials, such as newsletters or parent notices.
  • General Office Duties:
    • Maintain a clean and orderly reception area.
    • Ensure compliance with center policies and safety regulations.
    • Assist in the coordination of daily operations, including monitoring of schedules, staff support, and ensuring smooth transitions throughout the day.
Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in administration or early childhood education preferred).
  • Previous experience in an office or reception role, preferably in a childcare or preschool setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Friendly, patient, and approachable demeanor.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday - 8am-5pm
