Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:

The Ingredient Solutions & Hides Manager is responsible for overseeing the production of all byproducts, including but not limited to tallow, meat bone meal, inedible products, hides, blood, gallstones, and bile. They are responsible for continuously developing a culture of safety and ensuring all team members have what they need to be successful. This position will supervise exempt personnel and is expected to contribute to the Company bottom line via process improvement, customer relationship building, and exemplifying Creekstone Proud culture in word and in deed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure that company standards and policies are properly taught and maintained to support company goals, specifically safety, quality, food safety, and engagement.
  • Work to maximize output of the various products made by the ISH department.
  • Strategically make decisions to support team members and production efficiencies.
  • Meet all KPI’s as set by senior leadership.
  • Build relationships and work well with internal and external customers.
  • Provide leadership to frontline leaders and demonstrate excellent communication with all stakeholders.
  • Develop and promote positive working relationships among the team.
  • Ensure all required Company training is completed by the team in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all documentation and reporting for compliance purposes are completed and filed correctly.
  • Must understand and have a “Creekstone Proud” mindset to positively enhance the company culture.
  • All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Meat Industry experience required.
  • Must be able to represent the Company in dealing with customers, including discussing details of business contracts in a professional manner and with due confidentiality.
  • Able to travel on Company business as needed.
  • Working knowledge of the operation of the relevant areas in the Company.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner.
  • Ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and respect.
  • Functional with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work productively and independently.
  • Clear communication skills – verbally and in written form.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to coach and develop others into becoming better employees.
  • Leadership skills such as but not limited to conflict resolution, encouraging others and inspiring good work.
  • Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate in order to define and pursue team goals.
  • A positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and problem solving, unprompted.
