Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in 3D laser scanning, including operation, data processing, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling and CAD software.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with laser scanning equipment and software (e.g., Autodesk ReCap, Leica Cyclone, FARO Scene).
  • Strong understanding of point cloud data and 3D modeling.

Position Duties:

  • Laser Scanning Operations:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain 3D laser scanning equipment.
  • Conduct on-site scanning to capture accurate spatial data and ensure the quality of the data collected.

Data Processing and Analysis:

  • Process raw scan data using specialized software (e.g., Autodesk ReCap, Leica Cyclone, FARO Scene).
  • Create detailed 3D models, point clouds, and other deliverables based on scanned data.
  • Analyze and interpret scan data to support project requirements and client needs.

Project Management:

  • Plan and coordinate scanning activities, including site assessments and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with project teams to determine scanning needs and deliverables.
  • Ensure timely completion of scanning tasks and data processing.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and present reports and visualizations of scanned data.

Document scanning procedures, equipment settings, and project details.

Quality Assurance:

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of scanned data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment and data quality.

Client Interaction:

  • Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates.
  • Offer technical support and recommendations based on scan data analysis.

Working Conditions:

  • Fieldwork may involve working in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Ability to travel to different job sites as required.
  • Willing to work nights and weekends during scanning projects
  • Willing to work OT while scanning, registering, and modeling as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Other:

  • Ability to travel
  • Driver's license
