Hybrid Position | Location, Wilton, CT or NY, NY

The Marketing Events Associate will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of marketing activities including event coordination, email campaigns, creating target audiences and reports, and building registration sites. Events could include in-person events of various sizes and locations across the country, virtual events, webinars, trade shows or conferences, and select internal events. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple groups across the firm. The successful candidate will become proficient in our CRM and marketing platforms that are necessary to manage the events – including Salesforce, HubSpot, CVENT and Zoom. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Work collaboratively across the firm to plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
• Identify potential event venues in cities across the U.S. based on agreed upon criteria, negotiate contracts with venues covering food, beverage, space and other support as required
• Coordinate IT/audio visual support from the venue or through a third-party as necessary
• Create target audiences according to specific criteria and distribute invitations (marketing emails or hard copy)
• Monitor event progress and ensure that deadlines are met
• Generate reports to evaluate event success
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Coordinate contact updates for event targets with sales and service teams
• Monitor marketing email boxes associated with event invitations
• Coordinate speaker participation
• Attend the event to make sure logistics are set up and the event runs smoothly (as needed)
• Create and maintain marketing event calendar
• Create and distribute event surveys and evaluations post event
• Assist the marketing team with other projects as needed, including creating target audiences and executing email and other marketing campaigns

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot, and CVENT and other marketing platforms as needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and with other departments to get tasks done.
• Ability to adhere to budgets associated with an event.
• Source and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
• At least 2 years' experience with event management.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Must have excellent people, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through capabilities and commitment to excellence in work product.
• Travel is required.
