In this role, you will work closely with financial advisors, supporting them by conducting research, validating data, and delivering accurate, tailored financial advice to clients. Financial Planning Associate Responsibilities:

  • Client Service Support: Manage client service tasks, including onboarding, meeting preparation, note-taking, and drafting agendas. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance, while maintaining up-to-date client records.
  • Meeting Preparation: Create customized materials for client meetings, such as presentations and financial reports, tailored to individual client goals.
  • Advisor Collaboration: Provide direct support to advisors, ensuring smooth management of client activities. Coordinate with service associates for efficient workflow.
  • Professional Development: Pursue CFP certification and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Financial Planning Associate Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, in a financial services firm or wealth management organization, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Expertise in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Series 65 required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • A strong desire to pursue CFP certification, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for client rapport and explaining complex financial concepts.
  • Dedication to continuous professional growth and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high moral standards and client information confidentiality.
