Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled API Integration Expert to join our dynamic team. As an API Integration Expert, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for integrating language models into various software applications and platforms. You will ensure the APIs are compatible, scalable, and performant, while also collaborating closely with software engineers and test teams to conduct rigorous integration testing. Additionally, you will provide technical support and guidance to clients and partners, troubleshooting API issues and fulfilling customization requests to meet specific business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs to integrate language models into diverse software applications and platforms, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and testing teams to conduct comprehensive integration testing of APIs, ensuring functionality, compatibility, and reliability across varied environments and use cases.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and partners on API integration and usage, troubleshooting issues, and addressing customization requests to align with specific business requirements.
  • Develop and implement API solutions that adhere to industry standards and best practices, focusing on security, scalability, and usability.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including specifications and user guides, to facilitate seamless API integration and usage by stakeholders.
  • Generate reports on API performance, issues, and resolutions for stakeholders, and implement improvements to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in API development, incorporating new technologies and methodologies into API integration strategies.
  • Implement rigorous monitoring and analytics to track API usage patterns, identify opportunities for optimization, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, software developers, and project stakeholders to align API development efforts with business objectives.
  • Conduct continuous evaluation and refinement of APIs based on feedback, performance metrics, and evolving business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards in API design and implementation, prioritizing data security and privacy.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for technical inquiries and escalations related to API integration, providing timely and effective resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 Minimum years of proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, SQL, SQLServer, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and HTML/CSS.
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures and API integration frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $150,360 to $199,837 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
