We are seeking passionate and self-driven individuals to join the Farmers Insurance Protg Program as competitive insurance agent candidates. In this program, protg agents collaborate with experienced mentor agents across Michigan to gain insights into our product portfolio, marketing strategies, and the operational aspects of running an insurance agency. Our Protg Program functions as a paid internship, offering a base salary along with commissions aimed at equipping you for success in the insurance industry.

We are specifically looking for individuals who possess innate sales abilities and a genuine desire to positively impact people's lives. Candidates should recognize that building a successful career in this field requires dedication and time. We offer continuous training and support to our Protgs as they progress towards success, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the needs of Farmers customers effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Employ diverse channels to generate leads and identify prospective clients.
  • Customized Insurance Solutions: Assess individual client needs and provide personalized insurance solutions to address their specific requirements.
  • Policy Presentation and Explanation: Clearly present and elucidate insurance policies, coverage options, and premium structures to clients.
  • Application Assistance: Guide clients through the application process and assist with necessary paperwork to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Record Keeping and Customer Support: Maintain meticulous records and offer ongoing support to clients, addressing their queries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide informed advice and solutions to clients.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients to facilitate renewals and garner referrals through trust and satisfaction.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • State-specific insurance license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales experience or aptitude.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and industry.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ethical and trustworthy demeanor.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt.
  • Compliance with background check and regulatory requirements.
