Fire Sprinkler Technician

First Trust Alarm, a Pye-Barker company, is currently hiring for a Fire Sprinkler Technician in our Hollister, CA branch.

Position Summary: The Sprinkler Technician duties will include testing and inspections of fire sprinkler systems with knowledge of multiple manufacturers' products, wet systems, pre-action, and dry systems. The ideal candidate must be experienced in CPVC repairs as many of our accounts are multi dwelling units.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to service, repair, modify, and replace CPVC and steel valves, PIV's, Hydrants, FDC's, tamper switches, and modify and or replace other fire sprinkler system components
• Provide accurate and detailed inspection reports with all proper documentation of deficiencies and other complications in a timely manner
• Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns and answering questions
• Maintain knowledge as required for continued education to keep sprinkler
• Journeyman license cards current
• Maintain safe and secure work environment by following safe practices
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Required Skills:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in the fire sprinkler industry
• Applicant must have knowledge of sprinkler system fire codes such as NFPA 25,13,13R, 14, etc. and Title 19 requirements
• NICET I or II highly preferred
• Ability to obtain industry certifications
• Excellent customer service skills
• Complies with applicable safety, environment, health and waste management policies and procedures
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with little or no supervision
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and on-call
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must read and speak English
