Job Summary: The Environmental Technician II works independently on field projects, completes all field tasks, including mobilization, sampling materials in the field, documentation of field procedures, and any related tasks in support of field efforts. The Environmental Technician II professionally prepares documents (figures, tables, text, email correspondence, etc.) to describe and/or present results.

Responsibilities:

Manages projects related to Underground Tank Inspection, Phase I & II Environmental Site Inspections.

  • Conducts fieldwork (Phase I & II ESA), sample collection, sample delivery, document sampling procedures.
  • Receives and reviews analytical data, assemble tables, figures (with assistance from staff GIS and AutoCAD Technicians).

  • Prepares conclusions and recommendations in written and verbal form.

  • Works with Sr. Project Manager on research related project.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science or applicable degree program.

Experience:
Minimum 3+ years

Required Competencies:
Excellent attention to detail, excellent technical writing skills, working knowledge of DEP and other compliance. Solid knowledge of general environmental health and safety standards, completion of OSHA HAZWOPER training, ability to work independently, valid driver’s license.
