A sales assistant, also known as a sales associate or sales support representative, helps the sales department of an organization by providing support and assistance. Their responsibilities include:

Customer service

Greeting customers, answering questions, and helping customers find products

Sales

Recommending products, informing customers about sales and promotions, and taking payments

Inventory

Taking inventory, replenishing stock, and keeping the stock room organized

Store maintenance

Creating displays, cleaning the store, and maintaining the store's appearance

Other

Packaging purchases, directing customers to the manager, and seeking feedback to improve customer service
