Essential Functions:

  • Help develop and maintain a corporate culture that supports the mission and values of Mayfield Clinic.
  • Answer incoming calls in a timely manner & return voicemail calls within the same business day
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external customers
    • Demonstrates empathetic, helpful and courteous behavior to all customers.

    • Speaks clearly, uses good grammar and uses voice inflection that communicates understanding and concern.

    • Demonstrates ability to gain caller’s understanding and acceptance of Mayfield Clinic processes.
    • Exercises initiative, creativity and courage to act in the best interest of the patient.
  • Provide post visit care coordination for patients being seen in clinic by and advanced practice providers (APP). Includes the NP clinic.
    • Ensure orders and referrals are sent to the appropriate staff within same business day.
    • Communicate the APPs results and recommendations to the patient
    • Ensure complete and accurate documentation in the medical record.
    • Monitor imaging requests and test results. Once obtained, forward to provider for review.
  • Provide ongoing care coordination for patients that have received treatment or procedures ordered by the Advanced Practice Providers (APPS).
    • Follow-up with patient regarding response to treatment (e.g. Epidural Injections)
    • Communicate progress to the reviewing APP
  • Facilitate patient transition from the APP's clinic to other care providers.
  • Manage eFax folder by either uploading in EMR; prepare for APP signature or route to appropriate person.
  • Provide bac up to the medical assistant and outpatient scheduling coordinator if required
  • Demonstrate proficiency with regard to obtaining insurance prior authorization for testing and/or medications.
  • Participate in departmental, interdepartmental and organizational activities and accept cross-training opportunities.
  • Contribute to team effort to performing other duties as assigned.
