Position Basics

SUMMARY
The main purpose of the Warehouse Technician is to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain gaming, redemption, & amusement equipment, to maintain inventories of parts and equipment, and to provide technical assistance to equipment users. Other duties may include the loading, unloading, and installation of equipment for field deployment under Accel Entertainment and Illinois Gaming Board specifications. This work will be performed primarily in a climate-controlled warehouse under the direction of a warehouse manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, clean, and perform repairs on electronic gaming devices, ticket redemption machines, automatic teller machines, amusement equipment, machine parts, and associated equipment
- Repair and replace electronic and audiovisual components
- Disassemble obsolete or damaged equipment; test and clean removed parts
- Move video gaming terminals (slot machines), ticket redemption machines, automatic teller machines, amusement devices, and associated equipment between transport trucks, warehouse storage, and equipment preparation areas
- Install equipment at partner location sites
- Observe all safety regulations and reports unsafe conditions to management
- Follow all department, company, and state policies and procedures
- Electronic or audiovisual experience preferred in slot, video gaming, amusements or other related fields such as small electronics repair (video game consoles, computers, cell phones, television), low voltage, HVAC or similar experience in a related field such as arcade or other entertainment providers
- Must demonstrate an ability to understand basic electronic theory & mechanics, circuitry, wiring and splicing
- Ability to operate tools such as multimeters, soldering stations, precision screwdrivers, and rotary tools and to distinguish between various colors of wiring
- DOT certification and/or class C drivers license strongly preferred
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and devise solutions
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Terminal Handler’s License from the Illinois Gaming Board
