Position Purpose: Under the direction of the HR Manager, the Healthcare Recruiter will be responsible for the successful recruitment for all positions at Families Together of Orange County. The ideal candidate will use various creative and effective methods to ensure that Families Together attracts a high caliber of talent to fill the various positions throughout the organization.

  • To train on all Learning Management Systems (LMS) by self-learning models from FTOC’s EMR.

 

Core Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Works with directors and managers to define specific recruitment needs and plan the hiring process.
  1. Maintains consistent communication with managers to coordinate and schedule interviews as needed.
  2. Will collaborate with a fellow recruiter within the Human Resources team to ensure that all set forth goals and objectives are met.
  3. Create postings for various platforms as well as other recruitment sources, including social media.
  4. Review publications, internet sites, and other resources for opportunities to attract and acquire talent.
  5. Research and attend job fairs and other recruitment opportunities to attract new talent.
  6. Source candidates via job boards, resume databases, professional networks, and through referrals.
  7. Think outside the box to create promotional materials, such as banners and posters to be used in recruitment events.
  8. Works with the HR team to ensure that the applicant's work history, education, training, job skills, and other critical information is verified.
  9. Conduct pre-interviews of candidates when necessary for positions in order to identify the best candidates and collect necessary information from candidates.
  10. Manages and partakes in communication with potential candidates through the hiring cycle, from applying, onboarding, and completion of the introductory period. 
  11. Maintains a candidate tracking database via the HRIS system (BambooHR) reflecting open positions, interviews scheduled, conversations had, offers made or not made, offers accepted or not accepted, reasons for offers declined, etc.
  12. Run scheduled recruiting reports utilizing the HRIS system or other methods, such as excel spreadsheets. 
  13. Follow up for candidate feedback after an interview to determine interest on all parties' behalf in a timely manner.
  14. Works with other HR staff to coordinate a team approach to an efficient hiring process.
  15. In conjunction with other HR staff, arrange for onboarding of hired staff, including document check and scheduling/coordinating orientation.
  16. Tracks recruitment costs, including job postings, ad placements, and third-party placement fees, analyzes the effectiveness of postings, and submits monthly reports.
  17. Maintains contact with new hires throughout the introductory period to determine satisfaction and assess opportunities for improvement in order to report to management/directors involved.
  18. Identifies local, regional, and national hiring trends and practices; researches competitor's activities to keep informed of changes affecting the industry.
  19. Participate in interviews when needed.
  20. Other duties as assigned, within scope.

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma (college preferred).
  • 1 year of recruiting experience, which must be in the field of healthcare.

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  1. Must have excellent: interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  2. Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  3. Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
  4. Must be persistent and persuasive.
  5. Advanced proficiency in various computer applications, e.g., outlook, excel, word, and applicant tracking systems, such as HRIS.
  6. Must be able to absorb and present the organization's information quickly and with confidence.
  7. Maintain a positive attitude.
  8. Able to establish rapport and effective working relationships with hiring managers and directors
  9. Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage a large workload within tight deadlines.
  10. Must have the ability to develop alternative solutions to problems and be highly self-motivated.
  11. Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and make decisions relating to assigned tasks is necessary.

 

Work Schedule:

  • General work hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., however, start times will vary, depending on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.
  • Work schedules are subject to change based on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs. As such, FTOC may need to modify work schedules to meet such needs.
  • Saturday work schedules will also be effected or implemented due to organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs as FTOC continues to grow and expand work days and hours.
  • Overtime may also occur due to organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel will be required for this position. Must be able to travel to FTOC sites as needed, including short notice.
