SUMMARY:
Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest's original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality. Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations. Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following
- Should have good knowledge of room service menu's and ongoing promotions in other F&B outlet.
- Should be able to provide recommendations and suggestions to guests upon request.
- Be knowledgeable of all services, facilities and products offered by the hotel.
- Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest's original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
- Pay attention to guest orders, and know the menu thoroughly.
- Able to perform all duties and tasks per the tasks required at the outlet.
- Assist the department to drive guest satisfaction by providing consistent guest experiences.
- Report positive and constructive guest feedback to the manager.
- Promptly handle guest queries, complaints and all issues in a professional manner.
- Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) six months to a year of previous experience of equivalent combination of experience and education.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to clearly and precisely relay written and verbal form. Ability to read and understand event order forms and to translate multiple forms into appropriate inventory orders. Ability to speak with guests and assess their needs.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of currency and weigh measurements, volume and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk and hear. The colleague frequently is required to stand up for 4 hours. The colleague is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or bend. The colleague must occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds must be regularly able to bend, squat and lift 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. Must be able to push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
