This position is eligible for a free employee membership to the Renaud Center.

The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable team members for the position of a Silver Sneakers Fitness Instructor. Are you looking for a part-time opportunity where you can use your fitness know-how and skills in decision making, problem solving and dealing with the public? Our Fitness Instructors enjoy a flexible schedule along with a fun work environment and earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $21.00 hourly.

As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in providing fitness instruction to groups and individuals. Generally, you'll teach a few classes each week, including helping out when a substitute teacher is needed.

As a Silver Sneakers Fitness Instructor, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing instruction in a variety of fitness classes and top notice customer service to patrons
  • Attending mandatory in-service training

We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable in basic fitness principles and skills. This person should be comfortable leading a group and teaching individuals. We are looking for both morning and evening instructors.
