Our leadership team of professionals oversees the care and service provided to our clients: Full Truck Load Freight Service Less Than Load Freight Service Supply Chain Management Logistics Service Campus Management Service Internship Description: Students who apply for our logistics operations internship will have the opportunity to shadow and learn from professionals with decades of experience in the field of transportation. All applicants for the internship program are treated as an employee and will have the same expectations as a new employee (background checks, drug testing, reference checks, etc.) This internship is designed for the student to experience multiple real-world scenarios of the fast-paced climate of the logistics and transportation industry, with the opportunity to focus on specific service offerings that our company provides.

We may also ask the student to undertake additional duties in situations that align with the learning goals and objectives of the student’s major field of study. Expectations of the candidate will consist of but not be limited to:
>Learning the basic vocabulary of the transportation and logistics field
>Understand the standards contract carriers must meet
>Display basic knowledge of geography of North America
>Learn and understand the working relationship between carrier/broker/customer >Understand the importance of the Bill of Lading document
>Display the understanding of how the sales process affects the flow of freight
>Establish your phone presence Learn the functionality of each software tool utilized >Establish networking opportunities within the company

~Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information (Non-Disclosure Agreement required) ~Ability to adapt to rapid change of work environment

~Access to housing in the greater Charlotte, NC area

Who Should Apply: Both undergraduate and graduate level students are welcome to apply.

This internship is likely to be of particular interest to students pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Operations/Project Management, or Logistics/Materials/Supply Chain Management. Internship hours will vary on the total required coursework hours for the student’s internship.

Work will generally occur between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Friday. There is some flexibility for different hours based on student’s schedules. A minimum of 15 hours per week should be dedicated to this internship opportunity, with the ability and willingness to work a traditional 40-hour work week based on schedule availability.

Compensation is on an hourly basis.
