Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Access Control Technician. In this role, the qualified individual will be responsible for implementing and administering policies and duties as assigned. This position reports to the Manager Emergency Operations / Security, Shared Services

Primary Responsibilities:

• Communicate observations using radios, mobile telephones, computer systems, and written reports.
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform many of the job functions.
• Interface with various government regulators, including first responders (i.e. law enforcement, fire, EMS).
• Prepare written reports and complete required logs and forms, working with, safety and security staff and others.
• Monitor and maintain employee access control systems, intrusion detection systems, burglar alarms, fire alarms and signals.
• Support the employee and visitor identification badging programs.
• Individual shall possess strong communication skills and will interface closely with various regulators including emergency first responders.
• Provide assistance, training advice for all NDS sites with Lenel, and Milestone systems for users, and administers at the site level.
• Support the Key Control Program using KeyWin software
• Supports the periodic testing, and training of a disaster response/crisis management plan
• Support periodic emergency drills.
• Report to management on security incidents and threats.
• Authorize access to facilities and ensure that access is controlled.
• Other duties as required.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proficient working knowledge of all MS Office Suite products.
• Proficient working knowledge of Lenel On Guard, and Milestone VMS software.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive written reports.
• Excellent speaking and presentation skills. Proficiency in use of Android and Apple mobile telephones, and portable two-way radios
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF Processor license.
