Financial Services Assistant

The Financial Services Assistant is a critical member of Tax Management Services, Inc. Investments Team, ensuring that clients receive exceptional service. Our growing team is looking for a candidate who enjoys connecting with clients, managing diverse tasks, has a strong attention to detail and provides the highest level of customer service. This individual will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of our group.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Marketing or related field (preferred but not required)
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or investment industry (preferred but not required)
  • Strong understanding of investment products and financial industry (preferred but not required)
  • Series 7 & 66 preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and thorough with desire for greatest degree of accuracy
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with the ability to prioritize
  • Proficient in computer skills including Word, Publisher, Power Point, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer programs, software and technology, welcome change and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must pass background check required for securities industry

 

Responsibilities:

  • Process new accounts, transfers, contributions and redemptions, beneficiary changes, address changes
  • Input and maintain accurate client information in all appropriate databases and software applications
  • Respond to phone inquiries, research and resolve questions, assist clients with requests
  • Verify that all requests are received and handled to completion
  • Effectively manage and prioritize workflow
  • Client interaction including inbound phone calls, scheduling client appointments, greeting clients
  • Learn and run various specialized financial software applications
  • Create and update various Excel reports, database projects and other special projects as directed
  • Create/run client reports
  • Assist with design of client marketing pieces, website maintenance and social media
  • Plan/develop client appreciation events, announcements, newsletters
