As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our finance team as a Financial Reporting Specialist.

Job Summary: Support the Bank's accounting, financial reporting and internal control functions. Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial reporting and asset liability management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare all SEC Filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs and 8-Ks, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP.
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly earnings releases.
  • Assist in the preparation of complex accounting areas/estimates, including but not limited to:
    • Income Tax Provision
    • Stock Compensation
    • Earnings per Share
    • ESOP
    • Charitable Foundation
  • Participate in compiling the monthly financial reporting package to facilitate management review and analysis.
  • Assist in providing accounting and reporting information to our third-party ALCO consultant including:
    • Assisting with the development of our ALCO assumptions
    • Participation in the ALCO process with the Bank's third-party consultant
    • Compile the reporting package for the ALCO committee meetings
    • Plans to drive the process going forward
  • Assist in the maintenance and performance of the Bank's FDICIA/SOX internal control program.
  • Provide ad hoc accounting information, analysis and reporting in response to management needs.
  • Perform peer group performance analysis and update on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist with all internal and external audits, as well as regulatory examinations, as deemed necessary.
  • Provide support, guidance and mentorship of members of the accounting/finance team and steward an environment of collaboration and high-performance.
  • Identify and recommend continuous process improvements and accounting/reporting best practices.
  • Assist with research and implementation of new accounting software/solutions.
  • Assist with research, analysis and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Maintain files and documentation in accordance with Bank policy, record retention and accounting best practices.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of SEC and Regulatory reporting in a Banking environment.
  • Expertise in GAAP, whether from a public accounting or Banking environment.
  • Must possess the ability to analyze financial data and provide recommendations to facilitate growth and profitability for the Bank.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong focus on collaboration and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive to continuously learn and improve.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a fast-paced public accounting or bank environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree is Accounting or Finance required.
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred.
  • Masters' in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration, a plus.
  • Strong Knowledge of GAAP and PCAOB auditing standards, a plus.
  • Proficiency with computer-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications
    • High level of proficiency with Excel required
  • Experience working in a collaborative team-based environment required.

  • Normal business office environment.
