Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Sales, you will manage the pipeline of leads and requests from prospecting through to planning and execution of events within the venues. Your goal is to drive awareness of Rooftop Cinema Club as a premier event space and maximize our private-hire revenue stream.


The perfect candidate is based in Los Angeles or Houston, and has 3+ years experience in sales or marketing management within the event destination sales and event production market. They will have proven ability in client management, demonstrable project coordination skills, and a track record for driving revenue. The ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial start-up environment is a must.


THE ROLE

The is a full time, Exempt role based in Los Angeles. The role is remote/WFH, with typical working hours for non-event days being 9-5pm M-F. The success of this role requires ad-hoc on-site event work during the week or weekend.



KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY


Outbound Sales and Pipeline Generation:

  • Achieve sales metrics by actively selling events per location to the corporate, social, and SMERF market.
  • Proactively engage with prospects through phone calls, emails, and in-person site meetings where applicable.
  • Drive the sales process forward by identifying opportunities, addressing objections, and effectively closing deals that align with both client and company goals.
  • Lead negotiations with clients to close deals, ensuring the event revenue is always greater than the opportunity cost of forgoing a public screening
  • Identifying emerging marketings trends
  • Source and attend monthly networking events to solicit new business and sponsorships opportunities
  • Actively participate to leverage Convention and Visitors Bureaus per venue (buy membership, ensure we are maintain active profile at all key events, with chambers and convention bureaus)


Event/Activation Project Management:

  • Act as Production Manager for high-profile and complex logistical events
  • Act as liaison between client, on-site staff, and internal departments to ensure coordination of all elements necessary to achieve events
  • Work with client in briefing of event, use internal templates to draft proposals, and obtain agreements
  • Process and track invoices and timely deposit/full balance payments via invoicing system
  • Create Run-Of-Show with timings, event diagrams, and requirements for all stakeholders
  • Maintaining Up to Date Master Calendar of events and event blocks in program


Reporting:

  • Attend weekly sales meeting to discuss upcoming events and run-of-shows
  • Create sales pacing reports to highlight performance and pipeline in regular meeting with Regional Director of Sales and Events
  • Attending weekly meetings with direct report to assess weekly monthly targets, Prospecting quotas, upcoming events and event pipeline


Relationship Management:

  • Ensure that RCC standards are upheld throughout the booking process through providing excellent customer service, excellent reliability, being fully informative, communicating regularly with clients, gathering client feedback, and encouraging further sales from clients. 
  • Focusing on client retention, reengaging clients during key moment in annual cycle of event opportunity, proactively sharing event and sponsorship opportunities and feeding back to team
  • Ensure the activities and functions of the Private Events Calendar synchronize seamlessly with the calendar of for-the-public events. Proactively alert all collaborating teams (Operations, Programming, A/V, Marketing) to the scope and requirements of potential and confirmed events.



CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:


  • 3+ years sales or marketing experience, in an experiential or event destination setting
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably HUBSPOT, Salesforce, Monday. 
  • Proven and demonstrable Outbound sales and pipeline generation experience
  • Ability to understanding and translate client vision into functioning events
  • Strong operational and logistical know-how preferred
  • Strong technical and digital literacy (Apple products, Google suite)
  • Excellent verbal skills
  • Great degree of professionalism under pressure
  • Proven leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • High energy, outgoing, with strong partnership skills
  • Possess humility  - a “roll up sleeves to get job done” mentality
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to travel In-State for 20% of role
  • Ability to travel nationally for 10% of role
