Position: This position is located on-site, at Seattle Radiology.
Compensation:
Hourly salary range $20.82 - $29.40. Salary is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status.

The Electronic Health Records Tech/Patient Services Representative is a hybrid position supporting medical records and medical reception. The primary responsibility is to deliver outstanding customer service for our patients and health care team members.
Responsibilities:
- Processes all incoming and outgoing mail, distributes to appropriate departments
- Processes all Attorney requests accurately and timely, making sure we have all necessary documentation before releasing records
- Distributes patient medical information to patients and outside medical facilities, once appropriate documentation is provided, following the HIPPA laws. Properly documents destination of each request
- Merge Patient accounts as applicable
- Resolves all problems/issues with reports and distribution in a timely manner
- Processes all outside reads and outside read consults in a timely manner
- Communicates in person and over the phone in a helpful and courteous manner
- Support Patient Portal inquiries and chart verification
- Scan, digitize, and merge all films for physician reading. Ensure all patient information is correctly entered into system. Purge old films in compliance with the federal law.
- Follows all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Facilitate conference preparation, load images to dashboard and / or laptop
- Performs a variety of clerical functions that support the overall Imaging Center
- Ability to provide excellent in person and phone service, to a high volume of patients
- Accurately enters patient information in a timely manner
- Ensures the accuracy of patient demographic information, scheduling information and insurance/authorization information
- Positively provides medical reception to patients following provided guidelines
- Ability to meet performance metrics, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness
- Ability to de-escalate conflict situations and or knows when to engage assistance from department supervisor
Prior Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be familiar with medical terminology in a radiology context.
- 2 years experience in a medical office setting, providing customer service, preferred.
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work responsibly and to maintain the highest of confidentiality.
