Position Summary

As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating training programs within The WellFund. Your main goal will be to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools to excel in their roles. The Training Specialist will find effective techniques, methods and technologies that facilitate learning and improve performance within The WellFund. The Training Specialist will also be a Patient Advocate and follow the job description requirements for that position, when needed.


Essential Duties of the Position

  • Develop and deliver engaging training sessions to groups of employees, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques.
  • Travel from each client location Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, etc. (including overnights lasting up to 5 days)
  • Onboard at each client location and successfully complete all client requirements including but not limited to: drug screening, immunization requirements, background, education requirements, etc.
  • Collaborate with management, employees and clients to create and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online modules.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs by conducting post-training evaluations and collecting feedback from participants.
  • Work directly with clients and their staff
  • Identify training needs within the organization and suggest appropriate solutions to address those needs.
  • Ensuring all new hire/employee access is set up and correct
  • Assist TWF manager and QA’s with audits
  • Fill in on-site to ensure adequate coverage, as needed
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in training and development to ensure learning initiatives are relevant and effective.
  • Coordinate with department heads to schedule training sessions and ensure all employees are aware of and able to participate in relevant training opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing support to employees by addressing their questions and concerns related to training and development.
  • At times when there are not new hires, or employees needing training, this position will serve as a Patient Advocate in the call center or at a client location
  • Collaborate with Managers within The WellFund to incorporate training initiatives into the overall talent development strategy of the organization.

Requirements:

Requirements of the Position

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficiency in PC application skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a complex/difficult claim situation
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Considerable knowledge of Medicaid programs
  • Follow through with commitments
  • Can be counted on to meet deadlines
  • Considerable knowledge of the Federal Marketplace
  • General knowledge of all agency and provider programs and services which could affect the client/applicant
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Maintains consistent and predictable schedule
  • Very productive and efficient in planning and executing work
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and Red Rule regulations
  • Ability to adapt and customize training programs to meet the needs of different employee groups
  • Experience with EPIC/Cerner a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Difficulty of Work The Training Specialist will be provided a company vehicle to commute from location to location. This person will be required to stay at the client locations sometimes for multiple days, which would include a hotel stay. The incumbent must deal with a variety of reports, documents, and computer systems, and must utilize good judgment in carrying out job duties. Advice and guidance may be sought from the department’s Manager as warranted to ensure the provision of quality service.


Personal Work Relationships The incumbent must deal with a variety of staff levels, conditions and circumstances. Routine contacts are to be expected from incoming calls, patients, management, and associates, internal and affiliate company associates.We offer competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits packages, and opportunities for growth within the company.
