Position Summary:

Join our mission-driven team at Children’s Mercy-Camber Olathe Hospital as the Hospital Compliance Analyst, starting no earlier than July 1, 2024. This role encompasses a broad and complex range of responsibilities within the local KVC Hospital’s Compliance Department. The Analyst will perform advanced administrative duties, prioritizing multiple tasks involving data compilation, analysis, and monitoring. This position requires a high level of discretion, judgment, diplomacy, and confidentiality. Working closely with senior leadership, physicians, clinicians, and frontline staff, the Analyst aims to enhance clinical and business performance.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of related experience in data gathering, analysis, and reporting
  • Experience in children or family services or healthcare environment preferred

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook email

Essential Duties:

  • Demonstrate respect for all KVC colleagues and community stakeholders, irrespective of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, or veteran status
  • Develop and implement reporting methods for quality assurance, including tracking clinical benchmarks and outcomes
  • Compile, analyze, and monitor data, reporting results to assigned leadership
  • Participate in regulatory audits and reviews for compliance monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards
  • Monitor performance improvement and quality initiatives to enhance compliance and service quality
  • Adhere to HIPAA and KVC confidentiality and privacy policies
  • Collaborate with Medical Records and other compliance-related departments as needed
  • Facilitate, participate in, or document meetings/committees as assigned (e.g., Medical Management, P&T, Performance Improvement)
  • Assist with routine quality assurance and compliance audits
  • Submit monthly training deficiency reports for leadership review
  • Utilize and maintain current knowledge of KVC operating systems required for the role, including HRIS and EMR platforms
