Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Life Safety Systems Construction Manager to oversee the planning, design, and installation of life safety systems in new construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, fire protection/LSS systems, and building codes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the life safety systems construction process, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, and other life safety equipment in new construction projects
- Ensure that all life safety systems meet industry standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to procure materials, equipment, and services needed for the installation of life safety systems
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates on progress, address any issues or concerns, and ensure that project timelines are met
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on life safety systems
- Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and standards, as well as building and fire codes
- Experience working on industrial, high tech, or semiconductor construction projects is preferred
- Certification as a Construction Manager or similar credential is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of subcontractors and vendors
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
