Job Description: Highly skilled and experienced SWAT Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for US based Insurance Customer. The candidate should possess a strong foundation in full-stack technologies and an in-depth understanding of network, middleware, and other enterprise-level infrastructures. This role requires a proactive individual capable of driving incidents to resolution in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high system reliability and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Lead and manage high-priority incident responses with a sense of urgency and efficiency. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues spanning across multiple technology stacks.
- Full-Stack Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of both front-end and back-end technologies to understand and debug system issues quickly. Implement solutions that encompass all layers of the application and infrastructure stack.
- Enterprise Systems Knowledge: Leverage deep understanding of enterprise-level network and middleware technologies to identify root causes of incidents and provide sustainable solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing incident trends, identifying recurring issues, and implementing proactive measures to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and other IT teams to ensure cohesive and effective incident management. Facilitate post-incident reviews and share learnings across the organization.
- Automation and Tooling: Develop and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline Diagnostic package, incident response and resolution processes. Provide feedback on Enhanced monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues proactively.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system changes to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with IT governance standards.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide training and guidance to junior SRE team members and SRE spoke teams.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or similar role with a focus on incident management.
- Profound knowledge of full-stack technologies and databases (SQL, NoSQL).
- Expertise in enterprise network architectures, protocols, middleware technologies and API management Tool / process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple technology stacks.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Shell, Python).
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams during high-pressure incidents.
- Certifications in relevant technologies and methodologies (e.g., ITIL, AWS, Networking) are a plus
