Job Summary:

We are looking for a diligent and reliable Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of products within our warehouse. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling:
    • Load and unload trucks, ensuring that materials are handled safely and without damage.
    • Move products to and from storage areas, delivery vehicles, and loading docks using appropriate equipment.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
    • Organize and restock inventory shelves as needed to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Pick and pack products for orders, ensuring accuracy and quality.
    • Prepare products for shipment, including labeling and documenting orders.
  • Warehouse Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
    • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect products for quality and freshness during handling and storage.
    • Ensure all products meet Sheba Foods’ quality standards before they are shipped or stored.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other team members to support overall warehouse operations.
    • Communicate effectively with the distribution and warehouse teams to resolve any issues or delays.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and order management systems.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test as part of the hiring process.
