Experienced Plant Manager

Area: Hamilton

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and management of the teams, from production to logistics. This manager will ensure the quality and on-time delivery of products, while also ensuring the safety of the workplace for associates. The successful Plant Manager will have a history of collaboration and the ability to establish clear goals and tasks to achieve short-term and long-term corporate goals for the teams.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production and quality control
  • Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals.
  • Regulate supply of materials to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Implement and manage procedures to keep production costs within budget
  • Ensure product standards that will exceed our customers' expectations.
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure strategic initiatives are met.
  • Establish group and individual accountabilities for the manufacturing teams for problem solving and cost reduction
  • Manage spending per production budget
  • Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships at all levels
  • Lead safety initiative
  • Ensures plant complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Coach teams in best practices and resolve escalated issues and problems
  • Conduct and complete performance evaluations
  • Responsible to train and motivate direct reports.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience with progressive leadership ability to coach and motivate associates
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred; certification not required
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Analytical skills with critical and tactical decision-making capabilities
