Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Level Two HVAC Technician to join our team. This role primarily involves assisting Senior Technicians, performing preventive maintenance contracts, and repairing light commercial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems and experience light commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Technicians with complex tasks and projects.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including replacing belts/filters and identifying equipment anomalies.
  • Log and monitor HVAC equipment performance, including refrigerant and electrical circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including commercial DX equipment up to 25 tons, intake/exhaust fans, split systems, heat pumps, and more.
  • Proficient in brazing, leak checking, evacuation processes, and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Maintain and repair light commercial equipment, including refrigerant circuits, electrical systems, and standard controls.
  • Understand and address sensible and latent loads, airflow, duct design, and building envelope impacts.
  • Follow basic fuel/gas codes, troubleshoot hazardous situations, and understand mechanical drawings.

Skillset:

  • 3 - 5 years' experience in residential or commercial HVAC
  • Proficient with performing scheduled maintenance and logging equipment conditions.
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring diagrams, and use of multi-meters.
  • Proficient in brazing, leak checking, and evacuation processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial DX equipment, light commercial equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Basic understanding of building systems, airflow, and fuel/gas codes.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and use basic computer skills.
