We are seeking a full time Retail Assistant to work directly with the Head of Retail in our specialty grocery store in Kingston, NY.

You will be responsible for accepting deliveries, stocking shelves, pricing items, maintaining stock inventory, ensuring produce and retail items are stocked and tidy. You will be able to learn about the farms we work with and the items on the shelves to be able to answer customer enquiries about any products. You will also be expected to serve and assist customers.

You must be able to lift up to 30lbs, be on your feet for extended periods of time, be able to walk up and down stairs and generally be prepared to be moving a lot during your shift.

Ideally you will have at least 1 years customer service experience, with a preference for someone with farming experience &/or interest in local organic farming practices. We work directly with many local upstate farms and aim to offer our customers organic, low pesticide, natural products.

We are looking for someone with a flexible and positive attitude, a team player, an eye for detail and willing to follow direction from managers.

Starting Pay $16 p/hr + tips.
