Developmental Disabilities Resource Center: Our Story

Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC), is a 501(c)3 Colorado nonprofit organization, is the designated Community Centered Board for Jefferson, Gilpin, Clear Creek and Summit Counties serving people with developmental disabilities and providing support to their families. Types of services available through various types of funding include early intervention therapies, family support, respite, personal care, homemaker services, mentoring, vocational, residential, behavioral intervention, transportation, community connections, supported living and therapeutic recreation.

Join our vibrant team at Developmental Disabilities Resource Center in Lakewood as a full-time Early Intervention Service Coordinator/Case Manager specializing in children aged birth to three. In this role, you will be at the forefront of providing essential resource coordination to young children enrolled in our early intervention program. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with developmental delays and their families.

Through the facilitation of the Individualized Family Service Plan process, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring families receive the support they need. To excel as an Early Intervention Service Coordinator/Case Manager at Developmental Disabilities Resource Center in Lakewood, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or a related Human Services field. If you don't have a degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience in case management is required. Experience working within the realm of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or Early Childhood systems is highly valued.

Facilitation, good organization and time management skills, along with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by children with developmental delays, are essential for success in this role. Your ability to navigate complex situations with empathy and professionalism will be key as you support families through the Early Intervention process. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Social Work or related degree in Human Services required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in case management or appropriate combination of education and experience required for applicants without a degree.
  • Case Management and experience working within the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
  • Early Childhood or related systems strongly preferred.
