Position Title: Tuition and Financial Aid Coordinator
The Tuition and Financial Aid Coordinator is a 12-month employee reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Position Summary
The Tuition and Financial Aid Coordinator will own all aspects of administering tuition and financial aid at Jesuit, as well as provide assistance on certain accounting and administrative office functions.
Primary Responsibilities
- School Tuition
- Overseeing all aspects of collecting tuition and registration fees, including (but not limited to) making payment arrangements, monitoring and prioritizing delinquent payments, updating/posting tuition and registration payments, and communication with families on all aspects of the process
- Coordinate with external stakeholders on a timely basis for special cases (withdrawing students, outside scholarships, etc.)
- Coordinating with the tuition management software vendor (currently, Blackbaud)
- Financial Aid
- Overseeing all aspects of financial aid, including (but not limited to) reviewing applications, notifying families of award status, updating tuition accounts, reclassifying tuition bad debt expense to financial aid, etc.
- Communicating with the CFO and President as needed on unique cases
- Coordinating with the financial aid software vendor (currently, Blackbaud)
- Miscellaneous Accounting and Office Tasks
- Completing reconciliations for all tuition and financial aid accounts in the bookkeeping system
- Posting entries for select non-tuition accounts (First Horizon; Chase; etc.)
- Making check and cash deposits to the school operating account
- As needed, traveling to deposit cash receipts at the bank and updating cash receipts journal
- Collecting and compiling stipends for every payroll
- Administer ACH payments for the Jesuit residence
- For liability and auto insurance accounts, maintaining vehicle registrations, brake tags, etc., for vehicles owned by the school, obtaining Certificates of Insurance, etc.
- Oversee the implementation of various student fees via Blackbaud
Professional Requirements
- Enthusiasm for Catholic and Jesuit religious mission and ethos
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Business-related field
- Experience in sales and/or customer service roles strongly preferred
- Experience with SaaS technology and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (particularly NetSuite) preferred, but not required
- Impeccable integrity and moral character with a commitment to excellence
