General Description
Under the direction of the COO, the Operations Manager will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Developing and deploying a strategic manufacturing plan aligned to overall business strategy, and operational objectives.
- Supply expertise and guidance on manufacturing operations projects, schedules, and systems.
- Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
- Reviewing analyses of cost, operations and forecast data to determine to progress toward stated goals and objectives and provides regular updates to senior management on project progress, timelines and critical items.
- Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Responsible for planning, sourcing, production and delivery to ensure product quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.
- Ensuring a safe and health-oriented work environment for all. Building a culture where customer service and quality are at the heart of everyday business.
- Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
- Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
- Oversees production quotas and schedules, ensuring inventory and shipment targets are met.
- Leveraging breadth of knowledge in influencing senior leaders to adopt new methods and technologies that define and drive the overall business strategy in a fast changing environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train management-level staff in the department.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work of the manufacturing department.
- Addressing Employees' and Leaders' complaints and resolving problems
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Support and Drive BCT's culture and Core Values.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Sense of urgency and ability to achieve results.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or other industry-related field preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing management experience with at least 15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
