Are you a reliable phlebotomist with great experience with hard sticks and strong customer service skills? We have a great mobile position open at Patient's Choice Lab and would love to interview you.

Position Summary

The Mobile phlebotomist will use a company car to travel to multiple locations throughout the Metro Phoenix Area. This full-time position works Mon, Wed, and Fri from 5 or 6am-2pm as a Mobile Phlebotomist and Tues/Thurs at our Patient Service Center in Tempe from 8am-5pm. This position is responsible for the collection and receipt of biological specimens, proper entry into the company's computer system, the preparation of samples for analytical testing. This includes responsibility for pre and post aspects of analytical testing. Pay scale is $18-$21/hour.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Includes the following: 1) specimen collection 2) general laboratory specimen processing or 3) referral laboratory processing. In doing so, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity.
  • May be required to enters and verify patient demographics, physician data, tests requested, time and date of collection, appropriate clinical information, and all other pertinent data found on requisitions as required for processing and billing.
  • Verifies accuracy of entered information.
  • Aliquots and labels specimens according to established departmental procedures and practices, delivers specimens to Patient's Choice Lab location in a timely manner and / or performs initial processing and preparation of samples for transport.
  • Completes documents legibly and accurately per site protocol. Follows established methods and practices.
  • Communicate courteously, quickly, professionally, and responds accordingly.
  • Must be able to work all areas/departments/shifts as assigned.
  • Acknowledges and understands the importance of 'Patient Rights' and privacy (HIPAA).
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Must satisfactorily complete the on-the-job training during a probationary period
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and certification for CPR preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum age requirement of 18.
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous experience of a phlebotomy
  • Computer skills required.
  • Clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
