Join Our Team as a Cyber Security Technician in Sioux Falls, SD

Are you passionate about protecting data and information from cyber threats? Do you have a keen eye for detecting vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Cyber Security Technician in Sioux Falls, SD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular security-driven technical activities that create and maintain secure performing client IT environments
    • Appropriately detects & processes alerts / initial indicators, then responds to, investigates, contains & resolves security incidents directly or in an escalation role with the help desk
    • Accurately documents activities and utilizes technical platforms effectively
    • Communicates IT security information (risk, behaviors, etc.) effectively with internal and external stakeholders to reduce risk through improved education and understanding
    • Participates in the implementing and managing security systems to protect company data
    • Monitoring networks for security breaches and responding promptly to incidents
  • Develops relevant IT security subject matter expertise and interpersonal skills
    • Builds and continuously improves their ability to effectively interact and communicate with both clients and Workplace team members
    • Consistently develops appropriate security-driven technical expertise & willingly makes this expertise available in ways that benefit the teammates and our clients
  • Productively executes security-driven project implementation activities
    • Takes personal initiative to accept and complete assigned tasks in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
    • Demonstrates critical / analytical thinking to identify both internal and external Security Team improvement opportunities and to reduce risk and meet business objectives

    • Participates in the implementing and managing security systems to protect company data

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of network security protocols and technologies
  • Proficiency in security tools and software
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are a plus
