Therefore, we are seeking a Loan Assistant with unrivaled integrity, an exceptional work ethic and a passion for customer service. The Loan Assistant provides support to Relationship Manager(s) with large or upper middle market portfolio's that have a variety degree of difficulty. This position performs optimum support to Relationship Manager(s) by being cognizant of department goals, providing ongoing communication and organizing priorities to meet deadlines. This position will assist customers with deposit and loan inquiries, loan and deposit account maintenance and will help support portfolio management. Customer service skills are a priority in this position in order to meet the bank’s core values when meeting with customers and prospects.


Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with Relationship Manager(s) to support portfolio management and business development activities.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments within the bank.
  • Prepare documents to assist in loan approval, modification, and coordinate loan closing processes.
  • Manage various levels of loan complexities such as Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, and participation loans.
  • Review various administration reports such as Past Dues, Exceptions, and Matured Loans to effectively manage loan covenants and portfolio monitoring.
  • Monitor progress on CAMS and collateral exceptions on a weekly basis with Relationship Manager(s).
  • Coordinate the opening of Depository Accounts with Relationship Banker.
  • Facilitate customer requests for deposit account maintenance.
  • Remain knowledgeable of bank policies & procedures to ensure we are compliant with all federal, local, rules, laws, and regulations.
  • Exercise discretion to assist existing and prospective customers while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Always act using Integrity, Soundness, Focus, Stewardship, Empathy and Enlightenment to achieve positive outcomes.

Supervisory Responsibility


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers including the use of various technology applications such as Microsoft Office, PDF Editor, etc.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Two or more years of work experience in commercial loan processing

Preferred Education and Experience


Experience with Title Insurance, UCC (Uniform Commercial Code), flood insurance, wind/hazard insurance documentation. Commercial core booking experience preferred; Jack Henry booking experience preferred.
