Summary: Manages and supervises the operational and administrative functions, activities and projects of the urgent care clinic. Manages, plans and coordinates the operations of the clinic to include supervising all clinic staff, time-of-service collection procedures, monitoring delivery of patient services and acting as a liaison with patients, businesses, and hospitals, by performing the following duties.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees and manages the administrative and operational activities of clinics and ensures the clinic operates in an efficient manner, and that patients receive high-quality care and customer service.
  • Schedules PCTs and monitors weekly hours to promote efficient and cost-effective shifts.
  • Works with Providers to maintain a healthy clinic/work environment.
  • Participates in the hiring, disciplinary and firing decisions of employees for their staff.
  • Participates in the training of new employees and serves as a model for future development.
  • Audits daily cash intake, reports overages/shortages to the finance department, and completes regular bank deposits.
  • Manages supplies and submits orders on a regular basis to avoid shortages.
  • Audits employee activities and ensures competency.
  • Completes performance reviews for employees annually.
  • Tracks and reviews KPIs for the clinic and resolves issues leading to low level results.
  • Hosts regular informational clinic meetings with all staff members.
  • Implements strategies to improve utilization of services, staff, and facilities.
  • Ensures operational compliance in accordance with the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine accreditation standards.
  • Attends clinic, leadership, and provider meetings as required.
  • Solves problems, resolve issues, and mitigates conflict.
  • Consults with and seeks advice from the Medical Director or Director of Operations regarding medical compliance, accreditation standards, and protocols.
  • Serve as a champion for the company culture, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Steer teams through conflict to effective resolution.
  • Facilitate effective communication across the organization.
  • Functions as the clinic liaison with patients, businesses, and hospitals.
  • Be adaptable to change, open to new ideas and approaches, and work as a team champion to get buy-in across departments.
  • Performs any other duties that assist in the operations of the office.
  • Answers multi-line telephone system.
  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Manages administrative tasks in the clinical inbox.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; Clinical experience may supersede the college degree requirement.

Clinical education, designation and experience as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or RN or similar medical provider.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises up to 10 employees (non-supervisory). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Hours:

Candidates must have availability during evenings and weekends for up to 40 hours per week.

Clinics are open daily from 8 am to 7 pm and 8 am to 6 pm on Sundays.
