WE ARE SEEKING A SURVEY FIELD TECHNICIAN TO BE BASED OUT OF OUR

DOYLESTOWN, PA OFFICE


As the Survey Field Technician, you will gather mapping features, topographic

information and evidence of boundary locations under the direction of a licensed land

surveyor as defined by the state(s) in which SAS practices. You will visit sites to take

measurements of the land and report findings to the office staff for data compilation and

mapping.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight as well as interacting with clients

in a professional and courteous manner.

• Be adaptable to emerging technologies.

• Must be “team minded” with the ability to take direction from others and adapt

to our standards and procedures.

• Must be comfortable working outdoors for long periods of time and be able to

physically perform work of this nature.

• Must execute work as directed and meet project goals.

• Must meet company and client standards.

• Maintain equipment assigned to you in a safe, clean, and secure manner.

• Direct and mentor junior staff

• Prepare company required paperwork daily.

• Be safety minded in all aspects of work.

• Participate in and or lead safety discussions and briefings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent, Some College preferred

• Experience: 3 years of experience as a Survey Technician

• Must be able to pass background check and drug tests.

• Safe driving record.


SKILLS:

• Ability to take direction from others.

• Ability to adapt to standards and procedures and implement those standards in

all aspects of work.

• Prepare and present information in a clear and concise manner.

• Reliable, Good housekeeping, attention to detail and accuracy

• Working knowledge of standardized field coding and auto-line work

• Effective verbal communication and organization skills

• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.

• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Proficient with modern Data Collectors, Total Stations, Robotics and GPS

(Topcon experience preferred)

• Adaptable to emerging technologies such as laser scanning and drones.

• Must be able and willing to travel as needed.
