We are seeking an experienced CCFA & Trauma Assessor to join our team. Applicants for this hybrid contract role should have experience completing accurate and thorough CCFA and Trauma assessments and the applicable reports/documentation promptly. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties 

The CCFA (Comprehensive Child and Family Assessment) program assists "DFCS staff, the juvenile court, families, and providers in developing case plans, making placement decisions, expediting permanency, and planning for effective service intervention. A Comprehensive Child and Family Assessment is required for all children entering care, the family members and collaterals associated with the child." 

 

Trauma Assessments “determine the best type of treatment by identifying all forms of traumatic events experienced directly or witnessed by a child. In addition to the trauma history, trauma-specific evidence-based clinical tools assist in identifying the types and severity of symptoms the child is experiencing.” 

 

  • Compiling, gathering, and assembling all information needed for a complete Comprehensive Child and Family or Trauma Assessment. 
  • Attending Family Team Meetings. 
  • Completing Kinship Assessments (when applicable)
  • Completing reports and other related documentation. 
  • Court Appearances and/or Testimony (when applicable)

 

 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Master’s Degree and Full or Provisional License from the Georgia Composite Board as a Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LAMFT, or APC. 
  • Current CANS and ANSA certifications. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience completing CCFA and Trauma Assessment reports/documentation. 
  • Current Comprehensive Child and Family Assessment - Advanced (CCFA) Training Certificate (via CHRIS180 Training Institute). 
  • Current Solution Focused Family Team Meeting (FTM) Training Certificate (via DFCS/DHS Delivered Services Unit)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with children and adults in a psychiatric/behavioral health setting. 
  • Active listening skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Detail-oriented and thorough. 
  • Organized. 
  • Ability to deliver accurate, complete reports/documentation within predetermined time limits. 
  • Flexible schedule. 
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
