Job Summary:

The Commercial Residential Route Driver is responsible for the safe operation of Class-B

vehicles on residential routes for solid waste pickup, transport, and disposal. This role

emphasizes a high level of safety and customer service, requiring the driver to efficiently

manage daily routes and maintain courteous interactions with residents. The position

demands extensive familiarity with the mechanical and technology systems of heavy trash

trucks, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PTO systems, onboard camera systems,

and tablet-based routing and tracking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate Class-B vehicles safely along designated residential routes, ensuring

compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.

2. Perform daily vehicle inspections and monitor truck systems including electrical,

hydraulic, and pneumatic components, ensuring they are functioning properly.

3. Familiarity with and safe operation of PTO, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

4. Utilize onboard camera systems and tablet-based routing and tracking technology

to enhance route efficiency and ensure accurate service delivery.

5. Provide professional customer service, promptly addressing and resolving customer

inquiries and complaints.

6. Maintain detailed records of route operations, mechanical inspections, and

customer interactions.

Physical Requirements:

 Capability to operate heavy equipment for prolonged periods.

 Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as pulling, pushing, and

bending.

 Work involves outdoor operations in various weather conditions.

Required Qualifications:

 Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

 Experience: Prior experience as a CDL driver is preferred, with strong familiarity with

heavy truck systems and technology.

 Skills: Excellent driving skills; adept at managing sophisticated vehicular systems.

 Licenses/Certifications: Valid Class-B CDL with a clean driving record for the past

five years.
