Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is an international media company that produces live news, sports, and entertainment broadcasts. BMG owns and operates broadcast facilities and produces content in the traditional full on-site production model, leveraging its complete Cloud Production Ecosystem supported by a fleet of mobile units. The company has facilities in New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Las Vegas, and an office in Los Angeles. Its hub locations are in Las Vegas and Washington, DC. The company also has a staff of world-class music producers, directors, and assistant directors with a successful history of producing live music. BMG is seeking a Business Development Executive that will expand its music business. The focus will be tours, one-off concerts, and television specials.

Job Summary

The Broadcast Music Industry Sales Executive (BMISPE) will focus on new customer acquisition and prospect management, as this role will garner and meet potential music clients. The BMISPE will research client business, work referrals, network, and respond to RFPs. Target customers are domestic, international television networks, labels, artist management, touring managers, and direct artists. This position will work with clients to create solutions for their needs and consult throughout the sales process. Must be energetic, well-spoken, have music industry connections, background in music and be eager to close sales and increase revenue. The focus is on long-term reoccurring client relationships.

Business Development Executive Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies
• Building business relationships with potential clients
• Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Collaborating with leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
• Creating informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
• Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospective clients; maintaining a database (HubSpot, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
• Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process
• Meeting all quotas for cold, active, and inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
• Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans

Business Development Executive Requirements and Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of the music industry with industry relationships
• Experience with Multi-camera live television, event production, production staffing, consulting, and or systems design
• Experience with lead generation and prospect management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
• Persuasive and goal-oriented
• Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
• Able to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives
• Five years of sports business development experience
• Knowledge of the sales process from initiation to close
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM experience preferred
