Administrative Assistant FT 1.0

Provides support services to the Administrative Team including all secretarial, clerical and receptionist functions.  This position will also be responsible for working closely with physicians, nursing staff, scheduling staff, pharmacy staff, and insurance/billing staff to obtain precertification / authorizations, prior to date of patient service.

Day of Work: Monday - Friday

Hours of Work: Days; Specific Schedule Negotiable 

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Special Training: Keyboarding and computer experience to include Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); Dependent Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training, within timelines established in the Licensure, Registration, Certification and Life Saving training policy. Must obtain notary certification within six (6) months of hire.

Training Preferred: Project Management and organization, spreadsheet, presentation, and data base applications; Solid verbal and written communication skills.  Prior experience and understanding of medical insurance and prior authorizations highly preferred.
