This job posting is for a position that requires experience with PVF or Fluid Sealing Products. The role involves handling customer calls, establishing pricing strategies with the sales manager, controlling profit percentages on fabricated orders, order entry, and other tasks as assigned.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing end-to-end customer service, from sales call to delivery follow-up.
  • Answering client calls and addressing their questions.
  • Providing price quotations and completing purchase requests for out-of-stock products.
  • Coordinating with the sales manager on company and marketplace activities.
  • Acting as an inside sales coordinator for normal orders and inquiries.
  • Following up with customers on price quotations.
  • Controlling profit percentages on fabricated and manufactured orders.
  • Estimating delivery dates based on the firm’s production and delivery schedules.
  • Making outbound calls and emails to potential and existing customers to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Determining customer requirements and recommending specific products and solutions.
  • Presenting price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.
  • Providing accurate information about the availability of in-stock items and expected delivery dates from vendors.
  • Recommending items needed by customers to increase satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
  • Monitoring scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery.
  • Managing time effectively and working well with the distribution team.
  • Communicating unexpected changes in product demand to the purchasing department.
  • Maintaining proficiency in using a personal computer, data entry terminal, and other office equipment and software.
  • Following company policies and procedures and presenting a professional image to customers and vendors.
  • Entering new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database.

The individual should demonstrate competencies in analytical skills, problem-solving, technical skills, customer service, interpersonal skills, and oral communication. The role also requires ensuring that the gross profit on items is sufficient for the level established by management on every item quoted to a customer.

  6. Knowledge of the software Distribution One is a plus.
