Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director of IT to join our team at the Denver Tech Center. This senior-level position will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of TAKKION's IT infrastructure, ensuring the alignment of technology initiatives with our business goals. The Senior Director of IT will lead a team of IT professionals, manage technology operations, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge solutions to enhance our service offerings.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Develop and implement IT strategies that support business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead the IT department in setting and achieving short-term and long-term goals.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure Takkion remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of IT staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to the IT team.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
- Oversee the management of IT systems, networks, and applications, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance and protect company assets.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Evaluate and negotiate with vendors for software, hardware, and service procurement.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.
- Conduct regular testing and updates of contingency plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing and executing IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT environments and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, or similar are highly desirable.
