Description

A fast-paced, growing Oil & Gas Company located in Midland, Texas is seeking a HSE Manager that is comfortable working both in the field and in the office.

Well-versed in, Compliance, Health & Safety training programs, presentations, field work, managing the following:

· Workplace Accident & Injury Program – reporting, investigating and light injury

· Conduct Monthly Safety Meeting

· Present New Hire Safety Training

· Manage ongoing Safety Training programs

· Manage the Random Drug Testing program for DOT & Non-DOT Employees

· Conduct site visits

· Manage Samsara Driving Program

The ideal candidate must have 5-7 years HSE experience in the oil & gas industry. Must possess excellent presentation skills, ability to develop and manage safety programs, conduct safety trainings and manage all Safety Software programs. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as safety manager
  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
  • Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
  • Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
  • Certified PEC Safeland and H2S Clear Instructor preferred
