How You Will Make an Impact:
The EHS Safety Trainer is responsible for providing IADC/RigPass and MSHA training. In this role, the EHS Safety Trainer will create and facilitate training via classroom, intranet, workshops, and vendor demonstrations, provide hands-on instruction to employees for machine qualification, and identify opportunities for improvement. This position will work under the umbrella of the HSE team, while leveraging the knowledge of the Last Mile/Logistics team. Our goal at Atlas Sand is to employ the most qualified and thoroughly trained operators, this role is imperative to achieve that goal.
Responsibilities:
- Development and delivery of new employee training, field level operational task training, annual training, and other HSE / technical training as required.
- Ensure the training meets company and client requirements, provincial legislation, and industry best practice.
- Mentor and assist team members on IADC RigPass qualification process.
- Spend time in plant observing and verifying employees' implementation of the skills learned in hands on training.
- Submit regular reports to the operational and safety leadership on the status of the HSE training program.
- Continuously update training materials for existing courses and manage the development of new material when necessary, including working with subject matter experts and other trainers
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop training plans and schedules. Ensure that training material is readily available for all training events.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years' experience working in occupational training in the industrial sector.
- Specific knowledge IADC RigPass / Basin United preferred

- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- Motivated; a "self-starter"; able to work independently. Experience managing competency checklists for field employee progression.
- Ability to multi-task and effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
