We are seeking a Shipping Coordinator for a position in Omaha, NE. This role will oversee daily inventory management and logistics functions. Non-exempt role; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Position requires HS education minimum
  • At least 2 years in manufacturing, experience in customer service and logistics or related field
  • Knowledge of SAP, TMS, LIMS, Hazardous Materials Shipping Requirements
  • Ability to understand, operate, and enhance transportation management system as business changes
  • Knowledge of transportation requirements such as weight requirements and drivers' hours of service
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Understanding of export business and ability to determine customer needs
  • Strong customer focus and ability to implement solution to customized customer needs
  • Must be hazardous materials certified shipper
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Mandatory Background Check & Drug Testing

Functional Requirements:

  • Coordinates and executes shipment of finished products (over 200 SKU's) for the Omaha Plant, and also receives raw materials for production units.
  • Provides direction to Bulk Operators regarding product availability and types of transport vehicles to be loaded.
  • Initiates, compiles, and maintains data for input into TMS and SAP.
  • Communicates with Plant, Customer Center, Customers, Contract MFG., and Carriers to ensure supply is adequate to meet customer demands.
  • Writes and maintains operational procedures. Is responsible for shipment of samples for production including hazardous materials.
  • Coordinates inbound and outbound of rail.
  • Provide effective administrative support
  • Determine products ready for shipment of >200 different SKU's
  • Understand and support production unit strategies
  • Understand and provide data to customers

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:

Per diem and relocation are not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in the Omaha, NE area.
