Position Title: Surgical Technician

Location: Moab, Utah

Schedule: Full-time, scheduled weekdays with rotating on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary: $22 - $31/hour, DOE



Job Description:


Join a dynamic Surgical Team in the OR as a Surgical Technician, assisting surgeons during operations while ensuring a sterile operating environment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, efficiency, and a deep understanding of surgical procedures and patient safety. Candidates must possess a comprehensive range of scrub skills, including central sterile processing, and be adaptable in a rural healthcare setting.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist surgeons during operations, maintaining sterile conditions throughout procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to aseptic and sterile techniques.
  • Understand and follow all surgical operation procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team and communicate effectively in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Participate in central sterile processing tasks.
  • Remain available for on-call shifts, responding within a 20-minute timeframe.


Qualifications:


  • Required: Current BLS Certification
  • Preferred: 1 year of Surgical Tech experience and Certified Surgical Tech designation
  • Ability to take 8-10 call days per month, up to 14 depending on staffing needs
  • Knowledge of aseptic, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Experience with central sterile processing is preferred but not required
