Work Schedule: Weekdays with on-call duties, including rotating evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: $22 - $31/hour, depending on experience; this is a full-time, year-round position with benefits.

Role Overview:

The Surgical Technician plays a critical role in supporting surgeons during surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional efficiency and meticulous attention to detail, alongside a solid understanding of surgical protocols and patient safety. The ideal applicant is a compassionate individual who can think critically and respond effectively in emergency situations.

Given the nature of the work environment, applicants should possess a broad range of general scrub skills, including expertise in central sterile processing, and must be adaptable and eager to learn.

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Availability for an average of 8-10 on-call days per month (up to 14, based on staffing needs), with a 20-minute response time to the facility
  • Thorough knowledge of aseptic and sterile practices
  • Strong understanding of patient safety measures
  • Preferred: In-depth knowledge of surgical procedures
  • Preferred: Previous experience as a scrub/surgical technologist
  • Preferred: Experience in central sterile processing
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening abilities
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure, demonstrating emotional and physical resilience in dynamic situations
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician
  • Preferred: Certification as a Surgical Technician
