Job Summary:
The Circulatory RN at Mission Community Hospital is responsible for providing high quality and compassionate care to patients with circulatory disorders. Working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, the Circulatory RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and vascular disease. This is a full-time, individual contributor role at our facility located in Panorama City, California.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with circulatory disorders, including obtaining medical history, performing physical exams, and evaluating diagnostic test results
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for patients, incorporating medical treatment and lifestyle modifications
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on management of their condition, medication adherence, and risk factor reduction
- Prepare and assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and stent placements
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
- Provide support and guidance to patients during hospitalization and discharge planning
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations and standards of practice
Requirements:
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care, cardiac, or progressive care nursing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Knowledge of circulatory disorders, treatment modalities, and medications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
