JOB SUMMARY

Guillotine Operators are accountable to produce goods as specified on the job traveler or other instructions given by supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform production operations to obtain utmost and ongoing efficiency
  • Support ongoing quality improvement processes to ensure all deliverables are produced defect free and aligned with technical specifications
  • Follow standard operational procedures, work practices and policies to ensure consistency of output
  • Safely and efficiently guillotine machines
  • Produce goods as specified on the job ticket or other instructions given by the supervisor
  • Produce consistent quality product
  • Follow MPI procedure
  • Basic machine maintenance
  • Read and understand job traveler and utilize computer job tracking system
  • Set up guillotine to align graphics that were printed in relationship to the printed image
  • Cut multiple pieces at one time as long as a clean cut is achieved
  • Draw template on first pile to be trimmed for quality inspection by supervisor or quality assurance
  • Visually inspect for substandard sheets during cut operation
  • Maintain accurate registration on screen printed items
  • Maintain efficiency and quality benchmarks per MPI standards
  • Assist training other inexperienced operators
  • Request any training required for you to succeed
  • Maintain organized and clean work environment
  • Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety improved product quality better rates and yields, or any other matters that impact shop costs or employee’s health
  • Practice safe working habits as detailed in the Company Safety Manual and Employee Handbook.

Do other tasks as directed by a supervisor
